City Faces – This game of words works only in English. Since the word „facade“ has the same spelling as face. The idea of the design came to me during my travels and by the observation of cities and people.

Facades of an environment harmonize or they do not. It is like a protection of the interior of the houses, as well as the epidermis that of the face. Beautiful! Facades are like different faces and facial expressions. A face protects or reflects the emotional inner life of a person. It can tell and reveal many things about the person in question. House walls say a lot about a particular environment. Is it a house wall in a cold northern country; The colors tend to be dark. Or am I in a warm place in the south, where the house walls are all white or have bright pastel colors or bold tones. If I am in a richer area, the facades and houses often all look the same or individual houses stand out from the rest of the surroundings. They are extravagant and different for the sake of being different. Well-kept and chic like their inhabitants who either all resemble each other or want to stand out from the crowd by their luxury. They are chic and well-groomed. If I am in a rather poorer area, the houses all look different. There are many windows for several families and parties in one house. The facades can be old and run down. Some of the facades are peeling off the walls. But there are also places where the facades have wonderful colors, and the houses have different shapes and sizes. They are all so different and yet fit together perfectly.
